Six injured in Plainfield accident released from hospital

PLAINFIELD – The six people who were injured and hospitalized in Saturday’s crash were treated and released as of Sunday morning, according to Illinois State Police.

The crash happened about 12:22 p.m. and involved three northbound vehicles on Interstate 55 at milepost 260, north of Route 30. All northbound lanes were shut down and traffic was diverted to Route 30.

By about 4:30 p.m., lanes were reopened.

State police would not say where the six injured people were taken.
