JOLIET –REO Speedwagon has moved the date of their the Rialto Square Theatre performance to March 8 after a band member became ill.

The show was originally scheduled for Saturday. Existing tickets will be good for the March 8 show and refunds are available at point of purchase, theater officials said in a news release.

REO Speedwagon lead vocalist Kevin Cronin said in a statement his illness was not life threatening and he needs a “routine procedure, which is so simple it can be performed by a robot.”

“My doctor says I will be good as new. I am deeply disappointed that I have to ask the greatest fans of rock ’n’ roll to change their plans. All I can do is ask for your understanding and I truly appreciate your support,” Cronin said.
