6th Annual 'Seed Exchange' is Feb. 3 in Lockport

LOCKPORT – The White Oak Library District is partnering with Citizens Against Ruining the Environment (C.A.R.E.) to promote its 6th Annual “Seed Exchange”at the Lockport Branch Library, at 121 E. 8th St. in Lockport.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 3 in Meeting Room A/B on the second floor,

Organic, non-GMO, and heirloom seeds will be available for free. The purpose of C.A.R.E's Seed Exchange is to educate the public about organic heirloom and open pollinated seeds and how they can increase the nutrition, taste, and variety of homegrown food.

Bring empty envelopes to hold seeds and perhaps some labels, too. Food and gardening experts will be available to chat with attendees.
