St. Patrick Catholic Church in Seneca gets new pastor

St. Patrick Catholic Church in Seneca is pleased to announce and welcome the Rev. Ghislain Inai, SMA, as being appointed pastor of St Patrick’s, along with St. Theresa in Earlville and St. Mary’s of the Field in Grand Ridge.

Ghislain was born in 1973 in the Ivory Coast. His preparation for SMA priesthood has seen him do philosophical studies in the Ivory Coast, novitiate in Benin Republic, pastoral year in Nigeria and theology studies in Nairobi, Kenya. After his priestly ordination on June 26, 2004, at Saint Michael d’Adjame parish in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, he was sent to France to study communications. In 2007, Ghislain was appointed to Tanzania, where he spent two years, working in Ng’wandoya parish, in the diocese of Shinyanga, Tanzania.

In 2008, Ghislain was asked to go to Lome, Togo, to be the secretary to the SMA superior in West Africa. He held that position for four years before going to Manchester to complete his master’s degree in journalism. Ghislain has been part of the SMA International Media Team in Lyon, France, from where he is appointed to St Patrick’s Church of Seneca.
