Police: Joliet residents cause ruckus at apartment complex, pull fire alarm

JOLIET – A Joliet man and woman were arrested after allegedly causing a ruckus at an apartment complex and pulling a fire alarm, police said.

On Sunday evening, Quintin B. Bass, 38, of the 1300 block of Ada Street, and Patricia A. Bridges, 31, of the 300 block of East Washington Street, allegedly were on the third floor of an apartment complex on Bluff Street and walking through the hallways being loud and knocking on doors, Joliet Deputy Police Chief Ed Gregory said in an email.

A resident of the apartment complex claimed Bass and Bridges were in the hallway for more than an hour when she opened the door and told them to be quiet, Gregory said She also claimed she saw Bass pull a fire alarm and told the officers who responded to the alarm it was a false alarm, he said.

Bass and Bridges reportedly were located by police near Bluff Street and Western Avenue, Gregory said. They were positively identified by a resident of the apartment complex, he said.

Gregory said the two are not residents of the complex and did not have a pass to be on the property.

Bass was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and criminal trespass to property. Bridges was arrested on criminal trespass to property. Both were released on their own recognizance.
