Another candidates forum will be held in Joliet later this month.

The forum will focus on topics such as immigration, education and human services, according to a Facebook event page. Organizers said they want state and local candidates to participate.

Several groups, many local – including the Southwest Suburban Immigrant Project, the Spanish Community Center, the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, the Collins Street Neighborhood Council, Nuevo Horizonte, the Peace and Justice Ministry of the Diocese of Joliet and Warehouse Workers for Justice – are organizing the event.

It will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Oct. 23 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 205 E. Jackson St. The event is free and open to the public. Food will be served.

Will County residents can register to vote until Oct. 21 at thewillcountyclerk.com.
