A 30-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly stabbing a man several times in Bolingbrook, police said.
About 6:30 a.m. Sunday, Bolingbrook police officers were sent to the 400 block of Mallview Lane after emergency dispatchers received a 911 call from a person who was screaming, Bolingbrook police Lt. Anthony Columbus said in an email.
When the officers arrived, they found a man who had been stabbed several times, Columbus said.
Police officers investigated what happened to the man and determined that an argument and altercation had taken place between the man and Kelley Coleman, who lives at the residence on Mallview Lane, Columbus said.
The man started to call 911, but Coleman slapped the phone out of his hand, Columbus said.
Coleman then attacked the man by stabbing him several times, Columbus said.
The man was taken to an area hospital with injuries that were life-threatening, Columbus said, but is expected to recover.
Coleman was arrested and charged with aggravated battery, aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery and possession of a knife with intent to use on a person.
Coleman was booked into Will County jail. Her bond was set at $150,000.
