Desiree Anderson credentials:

The Indians senior outside/middle hitter recorded 19 kills and 23 digs in two-set road victories over Joliet Catholic Academy and Plainfield North.

Herald-News sportswriter Curt Herron talked with her.

Herron: What do like most about your team?

Anderson: I like that we're all close with each other since we've all been playing together for awhile. We've really bonded and come together as a team.

Herron: What do like most about competing for Minooka?

Anderson: I love Minooka. I feel like it's really competitive, even in practices since coaches (Carrie) Prosek and (Emily) Brown are always pushing us to be the best that we can be.

Herron: What do you like most about playing volleyball?

Anderson: I feel like volleyball is one of those sports where you're always moving and in the play. It's really fast-paced so you don't have time to look back, you have to keep pushing.

Herron: What do you want to do in the future?

Anderson: I'm committed to the University of St. Francis and looking forward to playing there.

Herron: What's your favorite TV show?

Anderson: The One Hundred.

Herron: What's your favorite movie?

Anderson: The Lion King, the new one that just came out.

Herron: What's your favorite music?

Anderson: I like all genres except for country.

Herron: What do you like to do in your free time?

Anderson: I like to read and I read a lot.

Herron: Who's someone that you'd like to meet?

Anderson: Zendaya.

Herron: Who's your favorite team and athlete?

Anderson: I guess I'll go with the Bears. And LeBron James.

Herron: What's your favorite place that you've visited?

Anderson: Las Vegas, because it was kind of crazy.

Herron: What's your favorite food and place to eat?

Anderson: French toast. And Cracker Barrel.

Herron: Do you have any pets?

Anderson: I have three rescue dogs, Rylee, Alexis and Bella.
