[Providence's Scott Marmo returns a kickoff against St. Laurence.]
Providence (8-4), meanwhile, has an interesting battle brewing with Nazareth (11-1). The Roadrunners had a bad game against Marist, losing 42-0, but otherwise have an outstanding season. The 20-17 victory at Sacred Heart-Griffin last week served notice that the Celtics will not an easy time Saturday by any means. Among Nazareth's victories are 28-15 over Notre Dame, 24-14 over Benet and 28-6 over Joliet Catholic.
You may hear it said the Roadrunners are young. While that may be true, after playing 12 games this season, it is fair to say sophomores now are juniors and juniors are seniors. They have that kind of experience.
JCA fans will remember Julian Love, now starting in the Notre Dame secondary, all too well. Love's brother Mike is a wide receiver/defensive back for Nazareth and possesses many of the same family traits. Running back Devin Blakely is another athletic threat. On top of that, the Roadrunners are deep in talent at the running back and receiver spots.
