Veterans’ Day prayer service held at Plainfield school

St. Mary Immaculate Parish School students, faculty, parents and visitors packed the gym on Nov. 11 for a Veterans’ Day prayer service at the start of the school day. 

The student council prepared the service and the Boy Scouts presented the color guard honoring our U.S. flag. 

The names of veterans who couldn't be present or those in active service related to St. Mary’s families were also read and acknowledged. 

Student council president Nate Novak read a description of Veterans Day and it’s meaning for all of the students.
