Local arts and entertainment: Dec. 9 through Dec. 16

Santa Claus will listen to children’s wishes and pose for photos at the 16th Annual Timbers’ holiday event, “Santa and the Timbers’ Elves,” on Dec. 14, at The Timbers of Shorewood, 1100 N. River Road in Shorewood. This fun event is free and open to the public. It is planned for families and includes one free picture with Santa, caricature artist, face painting, Grinch shooting range, arts and crafts, and holiday treats. In addition, there will be draft horses for hayrides from 2:30 to 4 p.m.

Wagon ride to the North Pole travels past several holiday scenes and includes a holiday light show on the way to meet Santa. The journey includes hot chocolate, cookies, and popcorn along the way.
