To the Editor:
Township government always has the best stories to tell at parties, and Lockport Township is no exception.
Supervisor Ron Alberico berated Trustee Barbara Delaney in a reply to her view, in which she stated the township had three buses. Alberico stated the township had only two buses and one van. The van was bought after Delaney found out that Alberico was allowing a township employee to use their own personal car to give rides to residents who didn’t want to wait for a bus. If an accident occurred, then the employee and the township would be at risk for legal action.
So, I guess Alberico and Delaney were both wrong. The third vehicle is neither a bus nor a van – it’s a taxpayer-funded taxicab!
