Lockport Police Department has designated its community room as a cooling station as needed for residents.

Before heading over to the police department, call the non-emergency number at 815-838-2131 to speak with a member of the telecommunications staff so that the department can ensure that the facility is staffed.

The Lockport Township Fire Protection District’s Station No. 6 training room is also available for the purposes of a cooling center during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

WESCOM has also been advised regarding the availability of the Lockport Township Fire Protection District’s cooling center for area residents.
