Top Driver to hosts Illinois Driver Ed 101 webinar for parents

In conjunction with National Teen Driver Safety Week, Top Driver is conducting a free webinar from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 20.

The webinar is titled "Illinois Driver Ed 101: What Every Parent Needs to Know About Teen Driving in Illinois."

Speakers include the Top Drives management team and two guests: Margaret Pearson, regional coordinator from the IL SOS Organ/Tissue Donor Program, who will speak on the importance or organ donation programs; and Bryan Kovach, a State Farm representative, who will discuss insurance requirements during the permit/licensing phase

Other topics will included Illinois graduated driver licensing and driver education requirements.

Parents may ask questions regarding teen driving in Illinois.

"It's important to continue learning about safe driving," Caroline Zalatoris, senior director at Top Driver. "The coronavirus pandemic has affected educational programs across the board, but the need to move forward is still there. This webinar is our way of providing parents and teens accessible learning opportunities from experts in the field."

Top Driver has several locations in Will County, including Joliet, New Lenox, Bolingbrook and Homer Glen.
